Men and landscapes House (Morvan Ecomuseum Centre)
Presents this land and its inhabitants throughout its history, open from April 1 through November 11.

Site of St-Brisson area, "Etang du Taureau" trail, "herbularium" garden of regional plants & nature discoveries
Log floating, birds, small animals, flowers. Discovery of the environment, fauna and flora.

Settons Lake
The lake is surrounded by pine and larch forests, 360 ha lake at an altitude of 600 m held back by a stone dike, unique in France; an environment with a wealth of forests and rivers, and typical villages. There are trails and roads along the lake, equipped for boating and water sports. One can also fish here. The site’s beauty and many activities make this lake very popular in summer.

Pannecière Lake
The largest Morvan lake (520 ha), spreads over 7.5 km in a pretty site with wooded hills. Wilder than the Settons Lake, it is a paradise for fishers and hikers.

Chaumeçon Lake
The D235 road provides superb views of the 135-ha lake after Bourg de Brassy. The Dam holds back 12 million m 3 of fresh water, for a height of 36 m. It is the starting point for river sports such as rafting, canoeing, and rowing. There are three hiking trails to discover the lakeside’s natural beauty.

Valley of the Cure
The Cure, a Yonne tributary, is an “athletic” waterway that is very popular with canoeists. In the mid XVIth century, logs used for heating were floated down this river. Don’t miss the view from the Pérouse cliff before arriving in Vieux Dun.

Saint-Agnan lake
This 140 ha lake is among the most recent Morvan reservoirs. It supplies water to 28 communes, and is especially popular for fishing. Activities: canoe, pedale-boat, electrical boats.

Crescent reservoir
A 165 ha reservoir that supplies hydroelectric energy and helps regulate the Seine river’s flow.

“Saut de Gouloux” waterfall in Montsauche
A lovely waterfall created by the Caillot before it joins the Cure. Access is provided by a pathway indicated along the road.

Breuil-Chenue Forest
This forest is slightly larger than 1 100 ha. It is one of Morvan’s most beautiful mountain beech forests, and includes an animal park. The site was developed in the XVIth century to cut wood for heating.

Narvau Gorges
These gorges, listed in April 1999, are a very beautiful site. If you take the walking trail, you will notice the dense flora and be enchanted with this outing that is accessible to all, where a superb waterfall flows through woods and Logo Parc du Morvanrocks, and you can feast your eyes on charming wooden bridges, climbing rocks, and promontories.

La Vallée de l’Yonne
The Yonne is one of the largest Morvan rivers. Its source is in Mont-Beuvray and it crosses the entire region of lower Burgundy with its hills and valleys. The Yonne valley has created large limestone cliffs, used to teach climbing, such as the Saussois cliffs or Surgy site. One can admire the Yonne River meanders near Clamecy.
